Description We have an incredible opportunity to join us here at Phoenix Group, we are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Consultant to join our team and help streamline our payroll process whilst ensuring compliance and efficiency. Job Type: Fixed Term Contract – 6 months Location: This role could be based in either our Edinburgh or Telford offices with time spent working in the office and at home. Flexible working: All of our roles are open to part-time, job-share and other types of flexibility. The role: This is a project based role requires the incumbent to: Provide expert guidance on Oracle Payroll System & best practices Requires knowledge of compliance with payroll regulations and tax/national insurance laws Process payroll accurately & efficiently Resolve payroll related discrepancies and employee queries Collaborate with Project Teams, HR, Reward & finance Team to optimize payroll Operations Requires a can do passionate approach to review and recommend changes to deliver a more effective service to customers with a view to making the service provided first class. Strong time management and organisational skills including ability to prioritise and ability to work to tight deadlines What are we looking for? Proven experience in payroll consulting or management, with strong technical knowledge of payroll legislation and compliance Proficiency in Oracle payroll system and working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite essential Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to understand route cause of problem, how to mitigate and implement preventative measures Strong customer focus, with experience of working in a Customer centric environment A Payroll Diploma and/or an Accountancy Qualification is desired or relevant experience operating at this level preferred We want to hire the whole version of you.
