Responsibilities
* Assist the Manager in planning and implementing the highest quality of nursing care for the home’s frail elderly residents, some of whom may have dementia.
* Manage and motivate a team of nurses and carers to ensure the smooth running of the home.
* Communicate effectively and demonstrate a passion for providing outstanding care.
Skills / Qualifications
* Qualified nurse (RGN) with the NMC PIN
* Excellent communication skills
* Previous experience in a Deputy Manager role is essential
* Minimum 5 years hands-on nursing experience
* Passion for elderly and dementia care
Job Requirements
* Work autonomously and independently while building strong relationships with management and care staff
* Maintain and assess the home’s high-quality care
* Organise and motivate carers to deliver excellent standards of care
* Assist in inductions and orientations of new care staff
* Uphold the home’s reputation as a recognised centre of excellence
* Liaise with other healthcare professionals and the multi-disciplinary team
* Administrative duties
