Job Description
A leading consumer goods distribution business based in South Manchester is looking for a Supply Planner to join their team. As a Supply Planner, you will be responsible for managing inbound supply into UK distribution sites, ensuring inventory levels are within agreed parameters, and working cross-functionally with key departments to drive supply chain excellence.
About the role:
1. Engage with procurement and the supply base, manage supplier call-offs, and inbound supply into European logistics hubs.
2. Support NPI processes and the phase-in/phase-out of new products.
3. Collaborate with commercial teams to develop robust demand forecasts.
4. Ensure inventory is maintained at optimal levels.
5. Maintain the integrity of the ERP system.
About the person:
* Previous experience in a supply planning role.
* Experience working with long lead times is preferable.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
* Strong Excel skills.
