 
        
        A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Contracts Manager to join a leading defence engineering organisation within their Commercial team, supporting the full lifecycle management of Domestic Commercial contracts.
This role will perform the duties of a Commercial Contracts Manager and report to the Senior Commercial Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
 * Lead the negotiation of terms and conditions for commercial contracts, ensuring alignment with company objectives and contractual compliance.
 * Manage the full route to contract, acting as the driving force during the bidding process and ensuring timely delivery of proposals and contract negotiations.
 * Review, draft, negotiate and agree bespoke contract terms and conditions while maintaining commercial viability.
 * Oversee contract delivery, including amendments, document marking, acceptance criteria, and deliverable reviews.
 * Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies, including ITAR, EAR, and defence contracting standards.
 * Contribute to business-winning activities, supporting the capture of new work and customer engagement.
 * Identify, assess, and manage commercial risks, working with stakeholders to develop and implement mitigation strategies.
 * Serve as the main point of contact for all contractual matters, liaising with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues efficiently.
 * Provide updates and reports to senior management on contract performance, risks, and key business impacts.
 * Manage and resolve contract disputes in collaboration with legal and cross-functional teams.
The ideal candidate would have:
 * Experience working in a commercial function within a defence or highly regulated industry.
 * Familiarity with Ministry of Defence contracting structures, including DEFCONs and QDCs.
 * A solid understanding of the full contract lifecycle from bid to closeout.
 * Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, both verbal and written.
The ideal candidate must have:
 * Proven experience drafting, negotiating, and agreeing commercial contracts and agreements.
 * Strong analytical and attention-to-detail skills.
 * Ability to manage multiple complex contracts in a fast-paced environment.
 * A collaborative working style with cross-functional teams.
