Learning Support Assistant (SEN / SEMH – Secondary Schools)

Location: Dibden
Pay: £13.75 per hour
Hours: Flexible | Term Time Only | Full-time or Part-time
Start Date: As soon as possible

We are currently seeking caring and dedicated Learning Support Assistants to work in SEN secondary schools based in Romsey, supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.


The Role

* Provide 1:1 or small group support for pupils with additional needs

* Support students to access learning and engage positively in school life

* Assist with emotional regulation, behaviour management, and social development

* Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff

* Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment


Requirements

* Experience working with SEN and/or SEMH pupils is desirable, but not essential

* A full enhanced Child Only DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one

* A full UK driving licence is not required, but would be beneficial

* A calm, patient, and resilient approach with a genuine interest in supporting young people

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
