As a Radiology Department Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting radiographers and other healthcare professionals to deliver safe, efficient, and patient‑focused imaging services. You will help prepare patients for scans, assist during procedures, and ensure our department runs smoothly and safely.
Responsibilities
Radiology Department Assistants support Radiographers, Sonographers, and Radiologists in delivering frontline care in a busy Imaging Department, seven days a week. You will help create an efficient, safe, and caring environment, ensuring patients receive the highest standards of care.
Requirements
* GCSEs (or equivalent Level 2) in English and Maths
* Caring, reliable, and team‑focused
* NVQ Level 2 in Care or healthcare experience desirable
Essential
* GCSE in maths
* GCSE in English
Desirable
* Previous Radiology or Health Care Support Worker experience
* NVQ II or above in health and social care or equivalent

Band: 3
Salary: £24,937 – £26,598 per annum (pro rata for part‑time).
Contract: Permanent.
