Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Manufacturing Engineering Teams are process leaders for stamping, molding, or assembly topics, ensuring processes run at optimal levels for quality and output. They possess extensive knowledge of mold tooling, die tooling, machining, and assembly techniques, and support the optimization and standardization of manufacturing processes within the environment. These teams enable TE plants to meet operational goals, roll out Centers of Excellence, and advise on tool and machine improvements. They also design and develop manufacturing processes and automation platforms for new product realization and existing product optimization. Additionally, they support product development in tool selection and process optimization, ensuring manufacturability and smooth ramp-up of new designs.
Responsibilities
* Support injection moulding processes at our manufacturing site.
* Implement new manufacturing processes, equipment, procedures, and systems.
* Assist with manufacturing setup during new product introductions.
* Gather and analyze data to identify root causes of process failures.
* Attend process stoppages, eliminate obstacles, and reduce downtime.
* Identify opportunities to improve process efficiency and increase productivity.
Candidate Profile
* Technical qualification in injection moulding, mechanical, industrial, or electrical engineering with 3-5 years of manufacturing experience.
* Knowledge of injection moulding methods.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Familiarity with standard manufacturing techniques; LEAN principles are a plus.
* Critical thinking skills for root cause analysis.
* Ability to interpret technical instructions and engineering documents.
* Ability to collaborate across diverse teams and build stakeholder relationships.
* Basic mechanical assembly skills and use of hand tools/measuring equipment.
* Knowledge of process compliance with company and regulatory standards.
* Project management knowledge is beneficial.
