Key Responsibilities:
Delivering engineering solutions to support the continuous improvement in the value of current production and development motorcycles.
Ensuring projects meet defined time, cost, quality, and specification requirements.
Working as part of a cross-functional team to identify and define opportunities for value engineering.
Engaging technically with international suppliers to develop and agree on component specifications.
Taking responsibility for technically demanding tasks within the team.
Communicating and collaborating across the supply/value chain to maximise teamwork and effectiveness.
Creating and maintaining detailed project plans to ensure deliverables are met.
Delivering against Key Performance Indicators driven by cost, time, quality, and specification targets.
Following and challenging established processes and procedures to minimise project risks and maximise department effectiveness.
Offering support and advice to less experienced team members, driving best practices.
Job Requirements:
Experience in a mechanical design role, particularly within the automotive or manufacturing sectors.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Fluent in written and spoken English.
Strong technical judgement and collaborative problem-solving skills.
Ability to think ahead, considering risk and mitigations for designs.
Experience working in a value engineering-related role is a plus.
Relevant engineering degree (MEng or BEng) in a related subject.
Willingness to take on accountability and follow tasks through to completion.
