Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the Children’s Therapy Services team based at Leyland House, covering the Chorley and South Ribble areas. This community-based role focuses on delivering high-quality, child-centred therapy to a diverse paediatric caseload in a variety of settings including clinics, schools, and home environments.
The successful candidate will work with children aged approximately 3 to teenage years, presenting with a wide range of developmental, neurological, and behavioural needs. You’ll be part of a supportive, multidisciplinary team, helping children reach their full potential through assessment, intervention, and family-centred support.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a community-based caseload of children aged 3–teenage years with diverse and often complex needs.Deliver assessments and interventions in various settings including clinics, schools, and homes across the Chorley and South Ribble areas.
* Conduct triage conversations with families using departmental proformas to assess suitability and urgency for occupational therapy input.
