Job Description
Reliability Engineer:
1. Conduct reliability analyses, including Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), to identify potential failure risks.
2. Develop and implement reliability test plans to assess system performance under various conditions.
3. Investigate and analyze system failures to determine root causes and propose corrective actions.
4. Collaborate with design and engineering teams to integrate reliability improvements into product designs.
5. Create and maintain reliability models, such as Weibull and reliability block diagrams, for predictive analysis.
6. Ensure compliance with industry reliability standards and customer specifications.
7. Support maintenance strategy development by providing insights into component lifecycles and system reliability metrics.
8. Monitor field performance data and generate reliability reports to guide product improvement initiatives.
9. Provide technical support for reliability-related issues during product development and in-service operations.
10. Develop and conduct reliability training programs for cross-functional team members to enhance organizational understanding of reliability engineering principles.

The Successful Applicant
Reliability Engineer:
11. Educational Background: A degree in engineering (mechanical, aerospace, or a related field), with a strong foundation in reliability principles and methodologies.
12. Experience: Proven experience in reliability engineering, preferably within the aerospace or high-technology manufacturing industries.
13. Analytical Skills: Proficiency in performing FMEA, FTA, and statistical analysis for reliability modeling and failure prediction.
14. Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong skills in root cause analysis and developing effective corrective actions.
15. Industry Knowledge: Understanding of aerospace reliability standards (, ARP4761, MIL-STD-217) and compliance requirements.
16. Collaboration Skills: Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams.
17. Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to document findings and present recommendations clearly.
18. Continuous Improvement Mindset: Commitment to identifying and implementing reliability improvements throughout the product lifecycle.
19. Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to analyzing data, testing, and reporting to ensure precision and reliability in all deliverables.
