Private Client Adviser - Farnborough (Desk Based)
Our client is seeking a desk-based Private Client Adviser in Farnborough.
Job Purpose:
Provide cost-efficient, effective, and compliant whole-of-market/focused financial planning advice to Pension Liability members, client bank, and new clients.
Identify and develop new business opportunities from existing clients, introducers, and referrals to meet activity targets.
Conduct yourself in accordance with the FCA’s Statement of Principles and Code of Practice for Approved Persons.
Promote and deliver a comprehensive, compliant service to new and existing clients within the defined and authorized activities.
Planning & Reporting:
Maintain a planning diary to balance meetings, income generation, proactive prospecting, and personal development.
Report weekly and monthly as required by management.
Internal Relationships:
Coordinate with Business Service Centre, Paraplanning, Compliance, and Client Liaison to ensure client activity progresses.
Engage with T&C Manager and Line Manager as needed to meet supervisory and development requirements.
Ensure all regulated work complies with the framework and proposition tools.
Provide professional, compliant, and error-free advice.
Candidates should hold a Pension Transfer Specialist Qualification or commit to obtaining it within 12 months of joining.

Generate new business proactively using existing clients, leads, and self-generated opportunities.
Develop and maintain client relationships to maximize potential.
Meet targets and ensure work complies with quality standards.
Handle inbound calls and emails requesting advice from strategic partners.
Maintain appropriate CPD levels.
Work effectively within a team environment.
Skills Required:
Excellent communication skills—verbal, non-verbal, and written.
Strong time management and negotiation skills.
Technical proficiency in regulated planning.
Knowledge:
Pension transfer experience.
Technical and product knowledge.
Proficient with IT systems and packages.
Experience:
Research, analysis, report writing, and file preparation.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Regulated sales and client management experience.
Experience working with professional introducers and providing advice via telephone.
Qualifications:
Minimum QCA Level 4 qualification (essential).
AF7 or equivalent, or working towards within 12 months.
Desirable: Working towards QCA Level 6.
