The Vice President, Commercial AI/ML Transformation will be accountable for leading the commercial transformation through AI/ML-powered insights, products, and platforms that unlock growth, improve customer engagement, and accelerate operational efficiency. This leader will spearhead the adoption of advanced analytics and Generative AI across commercial functions—delivering tangible business impact through scaled AI solutions, personalization of customer journeys, and data-driven decision-making.
This role sits at the intersection of data, technology, and commercial strategy, ensuring GSK’s commercial organization remains ahead of industry disruption by embedding AI/ML capabilities into every core business process.
Key Responsibilities in Detail
1. Define and Execute the AI/ML Strategy for Commercial: Develop a forward-looking AI strategy aligned to GSK’s commercial priorities, focused on revenue acceleration, customer engagement, and productivity gains.
2. AI Product Innovation & Delivery: Lead a cross-functional team to design, build, and operationalize AI/ML products—spanning predictive models, personalization engines, and advanced commercial analytics.
3. AI-Driven Customer Experience: Drive adoption of AI-enabled personalization across customer touchpoints, enhancing engagement for HCPs, patients, and payers.
4. End-to-End Data & AI Ecosystem Leadership: Partner with enterprise data and platform teams to ensure robust data pipelines, real-time analytics, and scalable AI/ML infrastructure supporting commercial excellence.
5. Gen AI Commercial Applications: Pioneer the use of Generative AI in content generation, digital sales models, omnichannel orchestration, and field force enablement.
6. Commercial Decision Intelligence: Establish commercial AI CoE, delivering advanced decision-support solutions and dashboards for global markets, optimizing brand planning, forecasting, and resource allocation.
7. Talent & Capability Building: Build and lead a high-performing AI/ML team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the commercial organization.
8. Enterprise Leadership: Serve as a trusted AI advisor to senior leadership, influencing commercial strategy and capability priorities through data-backed narratives.
Candidate Profile
Basic Qualifications:
9. Advanced degree (PhD/Masters) in Data Science, Computer Science, AI/ML, Computational Sciences, or related quantitative disciplines.
10. 12+ years of experience in leadership roles within AI/ML, data science, or advanced analytics within a commercial or customer-focused domain.
11. Experience in building and scaling AI/ML platforms and teams in a matrixed, global organization.
12. Experience in building and utilizing AI applications in digital marketing, omnichannel personalization, commercial forecasting, and sales force optimization.
Preferred Qualifications:
13. MBA or equivalent
14. Experience of driving measurable business value through AI/ML products within biopharma, tech or consumer industries
15. Demonstrated thought leadership in Gen AI, predictive analytics, and decision intelligence.
16. Visionary leadership with deep technical AI/ML expertise combined with commercial acumen.
17. Proven change agent driving digital and AI adoption at scale.
18. Strong stakeholder engagement skills, influencing at C-suite and cross-functional leadership levels.
19. Deep understanding of responsible AI, ethics, and data privacy frameworks.
20. Entrepreneurial, outcome-oriented mindset with a bias for action.
