Inspection of SM1 Class Equipment Supporting Suppliers in both Rugby and Manchester As Required - Approx. 20 hours per week. You will be tasked with being the eyes and ears of the customer on site at Suppliers. Following an initial on site orientation with the customer and supplier, you will work with the supplier to be on site as required. Performing product inspection, helping to ensure conformity of final product, you may also assist in the creation of the required document pack and FAIR. • Maintain contact with supplier to ensure visits are scheduled accordingly • Perform pre-acceptance visits (inspection) – prior to Customers formal inspection / buy-off • Inspection will be per Customers Drawing or Supplier Drawing • Support supplier in pulling together the correct form / documents for a ‘Mini-FAIR’ • Inspection will consist of visual, paperwork and dimensional, with there being a substantial paperwork trail on more complex parts • Must have a minimum of 5-years previous experience within an aerospace, marine or shipbuilding manufacturing environment • A minimum of 3-years hands-on inspection experience, with the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications • Strong hands-on inspection experience, using various mechanical inspection tools, such as micrometers and calipers • Acute attention to detail, specifically when inspecting / validating complex documentation packages • Knowledge / experience of First Article Inspection, including the compilation and validation of FAI packages • Strong communications skills, both written and verbal • Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools
