We're working with a growing Managed Service Provider (MSP) based in Northampton, looking to add a new IT Support Technician to their expanding team.
This is a great opportunity for someone with proven support experience who enjoys a varied role, taking ownership of issues and working across both 1st and 2nd line support in a fast-paced environment.
The Role:
You'll provide a mix of 1st and 2nd line support to a broad client base, handling everything from user issues through to more complex technical troubleshooting, with opportunities to further develop your technical skillset.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1st and 2nd line support via phone, email, and remote tools
* Troubleshoot and resolve a wide range of IT issues across user and infrastructure environments
* Manage and prioritise support tickets in line with SLAs
* Support Microsoft 365, Windows environments, and Active Directory
* Assist with server, network, and infrastructure-related issues
* Monitor backups and security tools, escalating where required
* Support hardware builds, installs, and configurations
* Maintain clear documentation and ticket updates
What We're Looking For:
* Experience in a 1st/2nd line IT support role (ideally within an MSP)
* Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows, Microsoft 365, and user environments
* Exposure to Active Directory, networking, and server support
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Ability to manage and prioritise workloads effectively
* Full UK driving licence (preferred for occasional site visits)
* Based within commuting distance of Northampton
Desirable Skills:
* Networking knowledge (VLANs, firewalls)
* Experience with backup and security solutions
* Microsoft 365 migrations or administration
