Employment Solicitor - (NQ + Years PQE)

A highly regarded and progressive legal practice is seeking a dedicated Employment Solicitor to join its expanding team, acting on behalf of private clients and trade union members. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, client-focused environment with a caseload primarily related to industrial disease and employment law.
About the Role:
You will be responsible for managing your own caseload of employment matters, both litigated and non-litigated, with support on more complex or high-value matters provided by senior colleagues. The work will include settlement agreements, legal advice through union support channels, and regular interaction with trade union representatives.
This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified to mid-level solicitor (NQ + PQE) looking to deepen their experience in employment law while making a tangible difference to individual clients and union members.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a varied caseload of employment matters, including those relating to industrial disease.
* Provide high-quality legal advice via a dedicated advice line.
* Draft, review, and negotiate settlement agreements.
* Ensure compliance with funding guidelines and case timelines.
* Support senior solicitors on complex or high-value cases.
* Monitor file financials, including WIP, disbursements, billing, and profitability.
* Maintain exceptional levels of client care and professional conduct.
* Adhere to quality standards and regulatory obligations.
* Undertake additional duties as required by management.
Key Requirements:
* A valid, clean Practising Certificate (England & Wales).
* Strong academic background in law.
* NQ + PQE with demonstrable experience in employment litigation.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to offer sensitive advice to clients.
* Proactive and able to use initiative in problem-solving.
* High attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality work.
* Effective time management and ability to meet strict deadlines.
* Commercial awareness and an understanding of file profitability.
* IT proficient, including MS Office and legal case management systems.
