The Role

As a valued member of our team, we envision you as a conscientious, flexible, and innovative educator deeply committed to the holistic development of every student. Actively engaging in both the school and wider community, all staff are expected to implement our High Impact Teaching practices and demonstrate a commitment to evidence-based decision-making and differentiation, underpinned by our Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) framework.

The successful applicant will ideally demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team, fostering positive relationships with all students. They should be committed to our signature pedagogy of Explicit Direct Instruction and capable of collaboratively planning curriculum, including scope, sequencing, and lesson design. Additionally, they will possess strong teaching and classroom management skills, utilising effective strategies to maintain a productive learning environment. Proficiency in data analysis and evidence-based planning to enhance literacy and numeracy outcomes for all students is essential, along with confident use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the classroom. The applicant should also engage in reflective practice, drawing on classroom observations, student feedback, and detailed analysis of student performance data to continually improve their teaching.

In your role as a primary teacher, you should ideally deliver a curriculum tailored to the diverse needs of all students, fostering an environment where every student is empowered to reach their full potential. Strong behaviour support capabilities, grounded in genuine, positive relationships, are vital in this context.
