Reporting directly into the CEO, the Chief Strategy Officer will be a member of the Executive Committee and will lead the development and delivery of Wellcome’s strategy, identifying objectives based on strategic analysis and external insight, and driving measurable impact across strategic programmes and departments.
The successful candidate will shape, evolve, and monitor Wellcome’s strategy, through effective partnership with the wider Executive Committee to drive integration, ensuring the portfolio of programmes is consistent, coherent and positioned to maximise impact in science and health.
* Lead the development and delivery of Wellcome’s strategy and identify objectives based on strategic analysis and external insight.
* Shape, evolve, and monitor Wellcome’s strategy in partnership with the Executive Committee, ensuring integration and a coherent portfolio.
* Drive measurable impact and align activity across strategic programmes and departments.
* Identify and address urgent health challenges such as Climate and Health, Infectious Diseases, and Mental Health.
Hybrid working: 3 days in our Euston Road office (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) and two days remote or office.
