About The Role
As a key member of the boutique leadership team, the Assistant Store Manager plays a vital role in supporting the Store Manager to lead business operations, deliver exceptional service, and drive team development. This position helps to maintain Longchamp’s standards of excellence across all areas of boutique performance.
Job Purpose
To support the Store Manager in all aspects of boutique management including sales performance, team leadership, operations, and client engagement while acting as a role model of Longchamp’s values and standards. The Assistant Store Manager leads day-to-day floor operations and ensures smooth, efficient, and client-centred service.
Key Responsibilities
1. Team Leadership & Development
2. Lead and motivate the sales team during daily operations
3. Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of team members
4. Conduct daily briefings, performance coaching, and mentorship
5. Create a motivating environment focused on team growth and development
6. Act as the Store Manager in their absence, ensuring leadership continuity
7. Client Experience & Clientelling
8. Maintain the highest standard of personalized luxury service
9. Encourage and monitor CRM engagement, including new client capture and VIP retention
10. Resolve elevated client concerns with professionalism and brand alignment
11. Coach staff on building long-term customer relationships through exceptional service
Sales & Commercial Objectives
12. Support the achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly sales goals
13. Monitor individual and team KPIs; drive improvement through action plans
14. Identify commercial opportunities on the sales floor and in client behaviour
15. Ensure full engagement in store campaigns and product launches
Operations & Compliance
16. Oversee stock management, deliveries, and transfers
17. Ensure store opening, closing, and cash-handling procedures are executed properly
18. Uphold loss prevention protocols and ensure audit compliance
19. Assist with workforce planning and administrative tasks as delegated
Visual Merchandising & Brand Representation
20. Ensure consistent adherence to visual merchandising guidelines
21. Collaborate with VM team to execute floor set changes and in-store animations
22. Maintain a premium environment reflective of the brand’s aesthetic
23. Support the integration of marketing and visual initiatives into the store experience
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
24. Achievement of store and individual sales targets
25. Client retention, CRM capture rates, and VIP contribution
26. Mystery shopper results and client feedback scores
27. Staff training completion and performance progression
28. Inventory accuracy, stock loss, and shrink prevention

About You
Skills & Qualifications
31. 3–5 years of experience in luxury or premium retail
32. At least 1–2 years in a supervisory or assistant management role
33. Strong leadership and coaching skills
34. Proficiency in sales reporting, CRM, and inventory systems
35. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
36. Fluent in English; other languages a plus
37. Proficient in MS Office and retail POS platforms
