Position: M&E Manager
Location: Kent
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Up to £90,000 depending on experience
Responsibilities
* Manage and coordinate all mechanical and electrical works across multiple projects.
* Oversee design, procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning of M&E services.
* Ensure compliance with industry regulations, health & safety standards, and company procedures.
* Work closely with project managers, site managers, and design teams to deliver fully integrated solutions.
* Review and approve technical drawings, specifications, and method statements.
* Monitor progress, quality, and costs, providing regular reports to senior management.
* Manage subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring performance meets contractual obligations.
* Lead M&E inspections, audits, and handover processes.
* Provide technical input and advice at pre-construction and planning stages.
* Support business development by assisting with tenders and client presentations.
Qualifications & Skills
* Proven experience in an M&E management role within the construction industry.
* Strong technical knowledge of both mechanical and electrical systems.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
* Good commercial awareness and the ability to manage budgets and costs effectively.
* Relevant industry qualifications (degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent in M&E engineering or related field).
* Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., CIBSE, IMechE, IET) desirable but not essential.
