Requirements To thrive as a Learning Disability Support Worker, candidates should meet the following requirements: A genuine passion for working with individuals with learning disabilities and a desire to make a positive difference in their lives. Previous experience in a care or support role is advantageous but not essential; we welcome applications from those willing to learn. However, Potens offer full training to support progression into a support worker role. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with clients, families, and team members. Ability to adapt to various situations and maintain a positive and proactive approach to challenges. Basic understanding of health and safety regulations and the importance of client confidentiality. Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required. Relevant qualifications in Health and Social Care or a willingness to undertake training are preferred. A valid driving license and access to a vehicle are beneficial for community support roles.
