About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Senior Operational Management team at Mid Yorkshire NHS Hospital Trust.
The Families & Clinical Support Services Division has a post for Therapies and MY Psychology Services.
You will work alongside the Director of Operations, the Divisional Clinical Director, and the wider team, including other Deputy Directors of Operations, the Director of Midwifery & Women's Health, and Clinical and Professional Leads. Your role will involve contributing to the leadership of the Division and being responsible for delivering service, quality, financial, and performance targets within your services.

As a Deputy Director of Operations, you will be a key part of the Trust’s senior management, responsible for leading, managing, and delivering key programs of work.
You will contribute to the Trust’s leadership and be accountable for delivering service, quality, financial, and other performance targets as set by the Director of Operations and the Chief Operating Officer. You will also ensure your team meets the Trust’s development, leadership, and communication objectives. Additionally, you will handle service, workforce, and financial planning within your areas and collaborate with other managers and clinicians to support Trust-wide goals.
You are expected to uphold the Trust’s Values and Behaviours, strategic direction, and business objectives.

Key requirements
You should have experience leading complex change and service improvement, demonstrating significant competence through a proven track record within a complex organization. You should have a strong, positive leadership style that impacts patients and staff positively.
You will participate in the senior manager on-call rota and contribute to strategic and operational decision-making. Confidence and excellent communication skills at all levels, aligned with Trust values and Behaviours, are essential.
The successful candidate will have extensive senior NHS management experience, ensuring safe and effective service delivery. Familiarity with national key indicators and the ability to support their positive achievement is required.
You should possess influencing skills and information literacy to manage complex scenarios. Collaboration and the ability to work across organizational boundaries with various partners to influence local strategy are crucial.
