Procurement Manager – Grantham - £50,000 - £55,000
Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a well-established engineering business in Grantham who are looking to recruit Procurement Manager.
It’s a very exciting time to join as the business has recently undergone significant investment and transformation with expansion of product lines, modern fabrication machinery, upgraded facilities and a growing workforce.
The Role
As Procurement Manager, you will take responsibility for the company’s procurement activities, overseeing a global supply chain. This key role will see you lead a small team and ensure the supply of materials, components and services to meet production needs.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Developing and delivering procurement strategies aligned with business goals and cost targets
* Managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts and ensuring best value on quality, cost and lead times
* Overseeing purchase orders, supplier performance and compliance with standards and regulations
* Collaborating with design, planning, quality and production teams to support new product introductions and meet demand forecasts
* Analysing spend, identifying cost saving opportunities and mitigating supply chain risks
* Producing reports and presenting procurement performance to senior management
The Person
We are looking for a Procurement Manager with proven experience in manufacturing or engineering environments. You will be commercially minded, technically capable, and confident leading supplier negotiations.
Skills and experience required:
* Experienced in procurement or purchasing within a heavy manufacturing/engineering environment
* Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and RFQ processes
* Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
* Strong leadership qualities and a focus on continuous improvement
