The Springfield Group are looking to recruit General Construction Apprentices to join our busy Construction team. These full-time positions will work across our developments in Moray and the Highlands. About the Role A CITB General Construction Apprenticeship is the perfect way to earn while you learn, gain real hands-on experience, and become part of a team helping to build homes, roads, and communities. As an Apprentice, you will support all stages of construction projects, from site preparation to finishing works. You will learn to: o Prepare sites, set up safety barriers, and mark out work areas. o Mix, pour and compact concrete for foundations, floors and beams. o Dig and prepare trenches for foundations and drainage. o Lay drainage pipes, manholes, pavements, kerbs, and assist with road resurfacing. o Operate hand tools and small plant, and assist with larger machinery (excavators, dumpers, rollers) – subject to minimum age restrictions. o Carry out general labouring duties and support other trades. Early starts are part of the job – you will need to be on site before 8:00am, travelling to different locations depending on the project. You will be working outdoors in all weathers, so reliability and punctuality are essential. College You will attend block-release college in Glasgow for 16 weeks across your two-year apprenticeship. This combines classroom learning with hands-on practical sessions, helping you build the technical and personal skills needed to succeed in construction. On successful completion, you will be awarded an SVQ Construction and Civil Engineering Operations (Construction) SCQF Level 5. This qualification is industry recognised and supports long-term progression into roles such as skilled operative, plant operator, groundworker, or further technical training.
