Position: Systems Analyst/Application support
Location: Scarborough – 5 days onsite
Job Type: 12-month Contract
We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Helpdesk / Application Support Specialist to provide technical assistance and support for end-users in a fast-paced environment for our client in the manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting Microsoft Office Suite and Office 365 applications, cloud-based platforms, and enterprise tools. Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell or Batch), endpoint management, and familiarity with ticketing systems, Intune, and MDM solutions is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for end-users seeking technical support via phone, email, or ticketing system.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, OneDrive) and other desktop applications.
- Provide Level 1 and 2 support for hardware, software, network connectivity, printers, and mobile devices.
- Use scripting (PowerShell or Batch) to automate routine support and administrative tasks.
- Manage user accounts, groups, and permissions in Active Directory and Azure AD.
- Support and administer Microsoft Intune and Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions for Windows, Android, and iOS devices.
- Escalate unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams or vendors with proper documentation.
- Track, monitor, and document issues in the IT ticketing system (e.g., JIRA).
- Assist in the deployment and maintenance of desktop images, patches, and updates.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in a helpdesk, IT support, or application support role.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Office 365 in an enterprise setting.
- Working knowledge of PowerShell or Batch scripting for task automation.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (preferably Microsoft Azure).
- Experience with MDM solutions and Microsoft Intune.
- Strong understanding of ticketing systems and ITIL support practices.
- Knowledge of Windows 10/11, Active Directory, and basic networking concepts.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
