An amazing new opportunity for an Assistant Merchandiser to join established global fashion brand.
The Assistant Merchandiser will focus on ensuring the customer is at the centre of all product and range decisions, while supporting the Merchandiser in driving sales growth and profitability across multiple regions and channels. The role involves analysing performance, monitoring stock levels, and contributing to future sales and range planning.
Key responsibilities:
You’ll support the Merchandiser in the smooth running of the department, maximising sales and profit potential while minimising markdown spend. Key responsibilities include:
* Managing in-season trading for your marketing group
* Using range plan sign-off and marketing group KPIs to drive trading decisions
* Managing option counts by store category
* Supporting sales, stock and OTB forecasting
* Managing new and repeat orders
* Reviewing performance by profit block and key styles
* Monitoring line performance and identifying under- and over-performing lines
* Reviewing and implementing markdown and promotional spend
* Managing daily and mid-week sales and availability
* Delivering ad hoc analysis to support trading decisions
* Completing lessons learnt analysis (EOM, EOQ, EOH)
* Managing stock flow, stock levels and intake phasing
* Reviewing actual vs planned stock levels on a rolling quarterly basis
* Monitoring stock commitment, weekly commitment and distribution
Key requirements:
* Proven experience in a similar Assistant Merchandiser role, or as an experienced MAA, within a fast-paced fashion retailer
* Highly analytical with a strong attention to detail
* Proactive, solutions-focused and commercially minded
* Genuinely interested in the retail and fashion market
* Strong interpersonal skills with flexibility and enthusiasm
* Comfortable working to tight deadlines in a dynamic environment
