Job Description:
MERITUS is recruiting for an Electrical-Electronic Architect to join our client within the national security industry on an initial 6-month contract at their major site in Stevenage. The company has been recognized as one of the best places to work and is currently expanding rapidly.
The role involves responsibility for the electrical architecture and requirements of systems, including:
* Specifying system electrical requirements
* Defining interface characteristics between subsystems/equipment
* Designing power architecture, including power budgets and profiles
* Developing data communication and processing architecture
* Addressing EMC, bonding, grounding, and screening requirements
* Ensuring signal safety, including routing of safety-related signals
* Supporting testing and fault-finding activities during system checks and qualification
* Reviewing and creating reports, guidelines, and processes
* Conducting design assessments and analysis
* Working in accordance with defense and industry standards
* Participating in and supporting design reviews
Alternatively, the role may involve acting as the Equipment Manager (RMO) for specific electrical/electronic equipment within missile or launcher systems, including:
* Project managing the equipment during development, qualification, and manufacturing
* Owning the requirements for the equipment on behalf of the project
* Producing Statements of Work for the design authority
* Creating and updating activity plans for the equipment
* Managing internal and external design authorities to ensure delivery of hardware, software, and documentation on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards
* Holding regular progress reviews
* Tracking and resolving equipment non-compliances
