Therefore, we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join the Radiopharmacy team (based in Nuclear Medicine) at the Royal Free Hospital, London.You will have a key role in the day-to-day aspects of service provision, the Pharmaceutical Quality System and development of Radiopharmacy services including acting as an authorised releasing officer once accredited.You will need excellent attention to detail and accuracy qualities, effective communication skills, a flexible approach and an ability to work under pressure.This post will provide the opportunity for you to apply and build upon your existing experience, and enable you to develop and utilise your skills within the speciality of Radiopharmacy and lead on projects / service aspects. Applicants with insufficient experience to meet B8a with a view to appoint at B7 appointment if suitable for role.Main duties of the jobThe post-holder will be required to enable the delivery of a quality radiopharmacy service.

The role includes having a hands-on role and ensuring the service complies with relevant regulatory requirements for GMP, GCP, radiation protection and transport of radioactive materials. The post-holder should have experience of aseptic manufacturing in isolators and working with radioactive materials. You will be trained and accredited to be a releasing officer for manufactured products and assembly of IMPs.

pharmacy, chemistry, biologyDesirable criteria- European Association of Nuclear Medicine Postgraduate Certificate in Radiopharmacy / Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology & Quality Assurance or equivalent knowledge & expertise in the field.ExperienceEssential criteria- Operational experience working within the specialist area of Radiopharmacy.- Experience of aseptic preparation and QC of radiopharmaceuticals.- Experience of specification, monitoring and trend analysis of environment / equipment / products relevant to radiopharmacy.- Experience of maintaining a Pharmaceutical Quality System, including change control, investigation of errors, deviations, out of specifications- Experience in writing reports and Standard Operating Procedure for new processes or new equipment.- Experience of training and managing / supervising staff- Specialist knowledge relating to Quality Assurance, including: EU GMP practice, operation of aseptic units, manufacture of radiopharmaceuticals, radiation & radiation protection, Pharmaceutical Quality Systems- Experience of involvement in clinical trial / GCP related activitiesDesirable criteria- Experience as authorised releasing officer for radiopharmaceuticals.- Experience in Quality Control or Quality Assurance in an MHRA licensed facility.- Experience in operational management of radiopharmacy service provision.MiscEssential criteria- Articulate, sufficiently detailed and accurate writing skills- AT* - Apprenticeship Training.
