As a Business Analyst you’ll play a key role in the ongoing development and enhancements to Central Co-op’s operating platforms and processes, acting as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical development teams. You’ll develop an understanding of our strategy, processes, business and IT roadmaps. Working collaboratively with business stakeholders, you’ll be responsible for identifying business needs, clearly defining and documenting these in prioritised business requirements. You’ll work closely with our Architecture teams to make solution recommendations. Critical to the role will be your development of understanding and documentation of the capabilities required to address the business challenges – understanding business problems and generating creative and innovative solutions to these business challenges. You’ll help to ensure that system functionality and workflows meet our business needs and deliver efficient and effective operational solutions and compelling customer experiences. Additionally, working with business stakeholders you’ll define and prioritise any necessary enhancements to existing systems. You’ll help support system owners with the management of backlogs and enhancement roadmaps- developing and prioritising these in alignment with business needs. With a drive for continuous improvement, you’ll identify automation, improvement and integration opportunities across systems- looking for operational efficiencies wherever possible. You’ll work with Process Improvement and Automation teams to deliver these efficiencies You’ll work closely with technical development teams to scope and design potential system changes and solutions. You’ll analyse any proposed system changes and solutions to understand any impact to business and assess any potential risks to the business. This role will see you support change management and transition of new system functionalities and workflows into the business to maximise adoption and success. How will I know if I am right for this role? Bringing a technical qualification in Business Analysis/IT systems, you’ll also have proven experience, for a minimum of 5 years, as a Business Analyst, particularly in large-scale transformation programmes. Ideally you will have experience of retail system capabilities, including key features, functionalities and associated business processes and workflows. You’ll have experience of system development methodologies and tools in addition to your experience of process documentation, workflow automation and system integrations. To be successful in this role, you’ll need excellent communication and presentation skills. You’ll be confident in communicating and presenting to a range of audiences. You’ll need to be able to uplift and simplify complexity to wider stakeholders. You’ll be an excellent collaborator- someone who can build strong stakeholder relationships at all levels. Bringing a passion for creative solutions and a positive attitude to change, you’ll be able to demonstrate excellent analytical skills and use evidence- based approaches in your work.
