Area Manager – Retail Operations
Location: North East, Lake District and Preston.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Area Manager to join our Retail team at Certas Energy, the UK’s largest independent distributor of fuels and lubricants.
This is a field-based position covering our Company Owned and Operated forecourt stores across these regions.

The Role
As an Area Manager, you'll lead and inspire a network of Store Managers and their teams, championing a culture of customer focus, accountability, and service excellence.
You’ll be responsible for:
* Delivering against financial and operational targets for your area
* Coaching and developing store teams to reach their full potential
* Ensuring all stores are compliant with Certas Energy policies, procedures, and safety standards
* Collaborating with internal teams and third-party providers to drive efficiencies and sustainable solutions
* Maintaining high standards of store presentation and customer experience
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a confident, organised, and results-driven leader who can operate in a complex, multi-site retail environment.
Ideally, you’ll have:
* Previous Area Manager or multi-site management experience in retail or a related sector
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to stay composed under pressure
* Exceptional communication and organisational skills
* A collaborative mindset with the ability to influence across teams and functions
