Join to apply for the Material Resource Planning (MRP) Controller role at Siemens Energy.

Overview

As a Material Resource Planning (MRP) Controller, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and timely flow of materials through our aero-derivative gas turbine supply chain. You will develop, maintain and communicate delivery plans for specific part orders, ensuring our master production plan can be achieved. Working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders, you’ll balance demand, supply and inventory to meet both customer and business requirements.

How You’ll Make an Impact

* Respond to demand changes by providing the Regional Purchase Manager with the implications of meeting customer requirements in line with the Commitment Acceptance (Sales & Operations Planning) process.
* Maintain component planning data that enables effective demand cascade through the supply chain, resulting in a committed plan.
* Plan and manage stock across the supply chain, ensuring levels are maintained and materials are used in the correct order and timeframe.
* Ensure supplier delivery commitments are reflected in SAP, respond to supplier enquiries and manage schedule adherence (Exception Messages) to ensure delivery to plan, including new part introductions.
* Ensure compliance with company systems, processes and reporting tools to resolve potential delivery risks.
* Act as the primary interface with suppliers, coordinating improvements in planning, control, inventory, delivery and lead time.
* Lead supplier business reviews, ensuring requirements for Quality, Cost and Delivery are met and aligned with Supply Chain Management Team (SCMT) goals.
* Manage delivery issues, reporting shortages and recovery programmes to protect the production plan, escalating where needed.
* Assess and understand supplier load and capacity constraints that could impact performance and delivery.

What You Bring

* Experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing or Logistics with a proven understanding of production planning and controls.
* Strong knowledge of quality system requirements, inventory control and IT systems.
* Solid understanding of SAP or similar ERP systems.
* Excellent communication skills with a robust and proactive approach to problem solving.
* Ability to take ownership of your own development and responsibility for supporting colleagues, customers and stakeholders.
* A collaborative approach with a focus on continuous improvement.
