Astute Mortgages is a directly authorised mortgage brokerage based in Waterlooville, Hampshire. We’re a small, growing firm looking to bring on a self‑employed mortgage and protection adviser who wants the flexibility of working for themselves but still having support behind them.
We’re not a large corporate brokerage, and we’re not trying to build a call‑centre environment. The aim is to keep a small team of good advisers who want to build their own client base while being part of a supportive and relaxed working environment.
If you're looking for high commission, flexibility, and a firm that values long‑term relationships with both advisers and clients, this could be a good fit.
What we offer
* 85% commission split on mortgage and protection business.
* No monthly fees for the first 3 months to allow time to build your pipeline.
* Potential for leads to be passed across where available through our marketing activity. Please note leads are not guaranteed, and the commission structure may differ where company leads are provided.
* Office space available if you're local to Waterlooville / Portsmouth and prefer somewhere to work from.

The role
As a self‑employed adviser, you will:
* Provide mortgage and protection advice to your clients.
* Source suitable products from our lender and insurer panel.
* Manage your own client relationships and pipeline.
* Ensure advice and documentation meets FCA and Consumer Duty requirements.
* Work with the Astute team where support is needed.
Requirements
* Full CeMAP qualification.
* Previous mortgage advising experience with CAS Status.
* Self‑motivated and organised.
* Ability to generate and manage your own business.
* Professional approach with a strong focus on good client outcomes.
