Complex Student Casework Lead

Location: Egham, Surrey

Salary: £60,815 per annum (includes London Allowance)

Post Type: Full Time

Hours per Week: 35

As the Complex Student Casework Lead, you will manage multi‑disciplinary and complex student casework arising from Student Life teams or escalations from other university departments and services. You will also lead operationalisation of strategic projects, including the University Mental Health Charter, and support the strategy and aims of the University and Student Journey Division.


Responsibilities

* Manage and lead multi‑disciplinary and complex student casework emerging from Student Life teams or escalations from other university departments and services.
* Lead management and operationalisation of strategic projects or developments including University Mental Health Charter work.
* Support the strategy and aims of the University and Student Journey Division, reporting to the Director of Student Life.
* Demonstrate university values and champion student mental wellbeing.
* Provide expert experience‑based guidance and specialist advice proactively and reactively for student mental health and wellbeing issues.
* Ensure high‑level appropriate support is provided to students, while considering safety and wellbeing of wider campus communities.
* Co‑ordinate case management of serious mental health and wellbeing cases, and students with complex support and multi‑disciplinary needs.
* Develop and help implement innovative and supportive interventions.
* Manage identification, assessment and management of risk; make professional judgements and demonstrate crisis management skills.
* Assess risk and therapeutic interventions.


Qualifications

* Significant experience identifying, assessing, and managing risk in student mental health contexts.
* Experience with complex, multi‑disciplinary student support.
* Ability to make professional judgements and demonstrate crisis management skills.
* Demonstrated knowledge of risk assessment and therapeutic interventions.
