Reporting to the MEP Construction Manager in the region, the key requirements include:
* 3rd level Building Services / Mechanical Engineering Degree and/or Trade background
* Minimum 3 years of experience in a site-based MEP role
* Strong ability to collaborate and work as part of a high-performance team
Key responsibilities:
* Ensure Mechanical activities are completed safely, prioritizing health and safety for all stakeholders
* Lead by example, ensuring all stakeholders are aware of company-specific health & safety policies and procedures
* Be aware of hazardous energies and site-specific management strategies (Lock Out Tag Out)
* Maintain full knowledge of project Mechanical systems and track installation compliance with specifications and schedule
* Understand project-specific commissioning requirements and assist in developing Commissioning Implementation Plans (CIPs)
* Conduct site inspections of Mechanical, BAS/BMS, MEP & CSA works to ensure conformity with requirements
* Coordinate that rooms or areas meet CSA and MEP quality standards for beneficial use, aligned with the construction program
* Provide stakeholders with sufficient information to progress system installation in line with the master schedule
* Ensure contractors and vendors are adequately resourced to complete works successfully
* Review the master construction schedule for opportunities to focus on Mechanical and CSA scope work faces to enhance delivery
* Chair and contribute to onsite and offsite meetings with project stakeholders
* Issue weekly progress and cost reports as required
* Manage subcontractor activities, tracking progress and manpower levels
* Review and ensure system stakeholders produce necessary documents: construction and commissioning programs, work execution trackers, risk assessments, progress reports, and handover packs
