As demand for this next‑generation technology rapidly grows across the UK, we are seeking a Field Application Specialist based in Manchester to support clinicians, laboratories, and orthopaedic teams integrating this world‑first diagnostic solution into clinical pathways. Key Responsibilities Clinical Applications & Training Deliver technical and clinical training to hospital teams on the use of advanced genomic PCR diagnostics for joint pain evaluation. Support onboarding, workflow integration, and best‑practice implementation in NHS and private hospitals. Facilitate adoption of a world‑first orthopaedic genomic PCR test, ensuring clinicians see immediate value. Technical & Molecular Expertise Provide expert guidance in PCR, molecular biology, genomics, and NGS workflows. Troubleshoot assay performance, assist with validation, and support optimisation of diagnostic workflows. Work closely with R&D, clinical, and customer teams to ensure high‑quality implementation and user satisfaction. Customer Engagement Build strong relationships with surgeons, microbiologists, biomedical scientists, and infection specialists across the North West. Act as the regional expert for all technical, scientific, and applications‑related queries. Support clinical evaluations, demonstrations, and user experience feedback loops. Candidate Profile Essential Requirements Degree (BSc/MSc/PhD) in Genomics, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Science, Microbiology, or similar. Strong experience with PCR ; knowledge of NGS or host‑response genomics is highly beneficial. Experience in clinical diagnostics, molecular labs, or medical devices. Based in or near Manchester, with willingness to travel throughout the North West. Desirable Experience Field‑based applications support or clinical specialist experience. Familiarity with infection, inflammation, or orthopaedic diagnostic pathways. Comfortable working directly with clinicians, labs, and theatre‑based users.
