What does the role involve?
Working on a diverse range of projects you will provide strategic fire safety advice across the UK for the whole construction sector including commercial, residential, industrial and infrastructure.
Our fire engineering project roles continue throughout the project lifecycle, from initial concept design through to construction. Collaborating with clients and external stakeholders is a key part of the role through delivering presentations and you will also be involved in contributing to design team meetings to ensure designs follow the fire strategies that have been agreed.
Day to day activities
* Attending design team meetings internally and externally.
* Reviewing and marking up design proposals.
* Liaising with design team members including Mechanical, Electrical, Public Health Engineers, Architects and clients.
* Critical thinking to support the design team to overcome the Fire Safety challenges.
* Producing technical reports to support the design through approval process.
* Undertaking detailed Fire Engineering analysis including use of computer modelling tools i.e. CFD and Evacuation.
* Liaising with the Approving Authorities.
What do you need to apply?
* Have a degree relevant to the role you’re applying for.
* Have less than 12 months of relevant work experience (excluding placements).
* Are confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint).
* Are driven, proactive, and solution-oriented.
* Can work in the UK without restrictions either now or in the future.
