Role: Engineering Manager
Location: Remote first (Need to be UK Based)
Salary: £95k + 25% bonus

We're currently recruiting for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and grow our engineering capability across multiple squads, empowering innovation and driving technical excellence at scale.
As a senior leader in our technology organisation, you’ll oversee the performance, delivery and development of engineering squads focused on backend and high-transaction services. You’ll act as a coach, mentor and strategist — guiding technical delivery, ensuring agile best practices, and aligning roadmaps with business objectives.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Lead and develop a high-performing team of Engineering Managers, Tech Leads and Engineers.
* Own the technical strategy and roadmap for backend and transactional squads
* Build and maintain effective Agile and DevOps ways of working across hybrid onshore/offshore teams
* Drive continuous improvement in delivery, quality and velocity
* Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across Product, Architecture, DevOps and Service
* Champion a culture of feedback, growth and innovation
What You’ll Bring
* Strong track record and experience in leading high performing engineering teams.
* Proven success in managing complex software development environments and budgets and delivering scalable, high-volume microservices and event-driven architecture platforms.
* Deep understanding of Agile, DevOps and the full software delivery lifecycle
* Technical proficiency across AWS services (Kinesis, Lambda, ECS, EventBridge, etc.)
* Strong grasp of modern engineering practices – CI/CD, cloud-native architecture, TDD, BDD
* Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and leadership skills
* Passion for coaching and developing engineering talent
* AWS (Kinesis, Lambda, ECS, CDK, EventBridge, CloudFormation)
* CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence, Miro, Teams
