Location: Leeds
Are you an Engineering Geologist / Senior Engineering Geologist looking to take ownership of technical delivery, work on rail-focused geotechnical projects and support junior colleagues?
My client is recruiting for an Engineering Geologist / Senior Engineering Geologist to join a multidisciplinary civil, structural and geotechnical team in Leeds. You will be delivering ground investigation, geotechnical design, reporting and project support across a range of UK projects, with a strong focus on rail.
What you will be doing
As an Engineering Geologist / Senior Engineering Geologist, you will be:
·Producing and reviewing interpretative geotechnical reports
·Developing ground models and supporting geotechnical design
·Undertaking earthworks, slope and infrastructure assessments
·Carrying out Preliminary Risk Assessments and Mining Risk Assessments
·Supervising ground investigations and site activities
·Supporting project management, budgets, programmes and technical submissions
·Attending client meetings, technical discussions and site visits
·Mentoring junior geologists and engineers
·Promoting quality, health, safety and environmental compliance
What we're looking for
You will need:
·A degree in Geology or a related discipline
·Around 6-8 years' relevant industry experience
·Experience in rail, earthworks inspections and reporting
·Experience producing Geotechnical Interpretative Reports and Mining Risk Assessments
·Ground investigation planning, specification, supervision and reporting experience
·Knowledge of ground models, geotechnical design, UK standards and legislation
·Ability to use geotechnical software and carry out hand calculations
·Strong communication, organisation and client-facing skills
·A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to site
An MSc in Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering or a related field, and progress towards CGeol or CEng, would be beneficial.

Salary is dependent on experience.
