We are looking to recruit an experienced, enthusiastic and hands on Electro-Mechanical Engineer.
The Maintenance Engineer will be required to complete maintenance, repair and breakdown duties on a variety of industrial machinery as well as playing an active role in projects and upgrades to the factory.
Our ideal person will:
* Be experienced working within a food and drink FMCG environment.
* Be a time served electrical/mechanical apprentice (Level 3).
* Understand & have experience of fault-finding PLC's and computer-controlled equipment.
* Be competent in electrical/electronic/mechanical fault finding and analysis skills.
* Be happy to work on your own, managing your workload, but equally happy to work as part of a team.
* Have a flexible attitude to work to ensure all requirements are met.
* Be an excellent communicator, across all disciplines from shop floor to senior management
* Maintain plant machinery at optimum levels with a minimum of downtime.
* Set-up machines/ resolve problems in production in these areas.
* Adjust machinery / suggest ideas of modifications.
* Be able to support Manufacturing and other functions in all aspects of production
Key Result Areas
* Undertake routine maintenance of electrical and mechanical machinery and equipment in accordance with the planned maintenance schedule.
* Carry out fault finding to detect and repair electrical and mechanical faults on machinery and equipment.
* Timely reaction to plant breakdowns and speed of response in rectifying breakdown problems.
* Supervise external contractors and colleagues as required.
* Advise other maintenance personnel on any technical issues beyond their scope.
* Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company safety rules and health and safety legislation.
