Your newpanyHays Education are working in partnership with schools to recruit a dedicated SEN Teacher. We have opportunities within specialist settings and mainstream schools supporting pupils with a range of additional needs. Your new roleAs an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering tailored lessons to students with special educational needs, creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment. You will adapt lesson plans to suit individual learning styles and work collaboratively with teaching assistants and SENCOs to support pupil progress. Key responsibilities include:
1. Planning and delivering engaging lessons to meet diverse learning needs
2. Supporting pupils with EHCPs and additional behavioural or learning needs
3. Creating a positive and structured classroom environment
4. Monitoring and assessing student progress
5. Working closely with support staff and parents/carers
What you'll need to succeed
6. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
7. Experience working with SEN pupils (desirable but not essential)
8. Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
9. Strong behaviour management skills
10. Apassionate, patient, and adaptable approach
