Stores Person Location: Sunderland (Onsite) Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm Salary: DOE Jackson Hogg is proudly partnering with an established manufacturer to recruit a Stores Person to support their ongoing operations. About the Role As a Stores Person, you will be responsible for managing and controlling inventory to ensure materials and components are available when required. This is a key role within a manufacturing environment, supporting efficiency and continuity of operations. Key Responsibilities * Place orders to replenish stock, avoiding shortages or excess stock * Receive deliveries and check goods received against documentation * Liaise with suppliers regarding deliveries and stock discrepancies * Update and maintain inventory management systems * Carry out regular stock checks * Maintain repair logs * Identify opportunities to optimise inventory control * Plan, prioritise, and execute tasks in a timely and organised manner * Maintain accurate inventory records, documentation, and files * Organise stores areas including shelves, bins, and storage locations, ensuring they are clean, safe, and accessible * Identify, analyse, and resolve inventory-related issues * Anticipate potential problems and take steps to mitigate impact * Work collaboratively with other departments About You Essential: * Previous experience in a stores role, ideally within a manufacturing or engineering environment * Experience using stock management systems * Previous experience working with SAP * Good PC skills, including Excel, Access, Word, and Outlook * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
