This position is to be based in the UK but will serve global teams.As a Senior Product Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our payroll propositions. Utilising your in-depth knowledge of payroll product development, coupled with excellent commercial acumen, you will help grow and scale our payroll offering, enabling the success of additional services and making a significant impact on our clients’ financial well-being. The successful candidate will need extensive experience in driving product planning and execution throughout the business lifecycle to support our broad customer base, rapid growth, and scale of operations. This individual will report to our Associate Director – Payroll and have matrix reporting into the CEO and CTO.Job Overview and Day-to-Day ResponsibilitiesYou will work closely with the Executive Team, supporting growth and new client acquisition. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Lead and champion technology product initiatives focused on Payroll solutions by understanding the market sector and profiling the competitor landscape.Maintain knowledge of current UK payroll legislation, informing clients about relevant changes.Collaborate with business partners and resellers to understand and research business and functional requirements, translating them into prioritized feature roadmaps.Break down processes to innovate and challenge industry standards.Manage the entire product lifecycle by working with partners, sales, and service teams to conceptualize, design, develop, measure impact, and optimize.Monitor the health of product initiatives, assess risks, and resolve cross-functional issues.Own the delivery and quality of product initiatives and business outcomes.Establish a predictable software delivery model and go-to-market process aligned with policies and practices.Keep stakeholders informed on product progress and ensure team connectivity across locations and initiatives.Engage directly with clients to understand their payroll needs, build relationships, and manage expectations.Qualifications and SkillsThe ideal candidate will be a Payroll professional with:Deep understanding of UK payroll legislation and tax regulations.Experience in product delivery, including idea generation, investment management, planning, risk management, change management, and stakeholder engagement in an agile environment.Ability to manage expectations of senior stakeholders and drive consensus on feature delivery.Excellent communication skills for explaining complex problems to diverse teams.CIPP qualification or equivalent experience.Negotiation skills to balance best practices, expediency, and long-term maintenance costs.Experience delivering managed payroll services across industries.Leadership experience in payroll management or related roles, demonstrating team leadership and inspiration.We are on a mission to transform people management for businesses.
