Responsibilities
* Provide a high‑quality clinical typing service to a team of Consultants supporting the Patient Pathway Coordinators, ensuring that all correspondences are dispatched promptly to patients, GP’s and other health care providers as required within agreed time frames.
* Prioritise letters and correspondences received for typing, arranging them accurately and efficiently in date or urgency order.
* Type clinic letters, reports and other clinical correspondence in line with the Trust’s contractual key performance indicators (KPIs).
* Follow standard operating procedures describing how the functions of the role will be carried out, along with the given timescales and KPIs that must be adhered to.
* Work as part of a team, providing cover for colleagues during sickness and annual leave where appropriate, and may provide typing support in other departments.
* Have fast and accurate audio‑typing skills and a sound knowledge of medical terminology.
