Objective of the Role:
Control of stock on site including listing waste. Preparation (including checking, sorting, segregating, bulking and re-packing) of outgoing loads being transferred to 3rd party disposal sites.
Main Duties:
* Complete all pre-use FLT inspections, reporting any faults to Management.
* Complete PUWER safety checks on any equipment or tools used, recording on the appropriate form where one exists.
* Safely operate a counterbalance FLT in line with the company's P.A.S.S policy.
* Control of vehicle movements on site (if trained as a banksman)
* Housekeeping activities including sweeping, litter picking and drum crushing.
* Checking waste is suitable for the intended disposal route and any provisions it has stipulated when quoting for the waste
* Sorting waste as required to assess and/or list
* Segregating waste that is unsuitable for the disposal route following the sorting process
* Bulking of waste as directed by a technically competent person.
* Repacking of material into new containers as required to ensure suitability for disposal site and/orTransport
* Completion of batch sheets/lists to ensure traceability of all waste processed and transferred.
* Listing of waste in order to obtain quotes
* Preparation of outgoing loads (picking pallets from storage)
* Use of SAP to batch waste in order to ensure that the stock listing is correct
* Generation and printing of paperwork for drivers from SAP
* Loading of outgoing vehicles
* Loading hook loader outgoings
* Promote a positive Health and Safety driven environment – reporting near misses at a KPI of 1 per month and rectifying any potential concerns for Health and Safety readily.
* To assist other teams as directed when required.
* To perform other duties as reasonably required by the business
* Ensure all incidents, observations and concerns are reported through an escalation process; solutions are identified and actions, in line with Company policy.
* Raise a Corrective Action Report for any concern or improvement opportunity.
* Recycling waste; and handling all chemicals as per COSHH sheets; complying with safety rules in relation to minor
Critical Qualifications, Experience, and Skills Prior to Employment:
* Counterbalance FLT license
* Banksman experience
* Experience in Working in the Waste Sector
* Communicates well at all levels
* Makes decisions based on data, information and evidence
