Overview
Teaching Assistant, London Borough of Brent Schools. We are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work in our community school. You will work closely with class teachers to provide support and guidance for pupils in your year group. The confidence and ability to work flexibly and contribute to teaching and learning is essential, as is the willingness to cater for all aspects of physical, social and emotional needs.
Head Teacher: Miss Enid Lewis
Salary: Grade/scale point and Inc Grade 2, SCP 3 – 4 (£24,027 - £24,404 + LW) pro rata, which equates to £17,126 - £17,395
Hours: 30 hours per week – (pro-rata, term time only)
Start date: September 2025.
Location: London Borough of Brent, London, United Kingdom.

The Person
* You will liaise with teaching staff to provide targeted support to pupils and class groups to raise achievement and attendance, and help them overcome barriers to learning
* Identify needs, assess pupils needing extra support, and develop individual action plans for targeted pupils
* Work one-to-one or in small groups with targeted pupils to implement and manage action plans
* Provide extra support through knowledge of a range of activities and opportunities
* Implement, monitor and evaluate learning/teaching programmes, adjusting activities to pupils needs
* Provide objective feedback and reports on pupils’ achievements and progress
* Supervise pupils on visits, trips and out-of-school activities
