Job Title: SEND EYFS Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Heanor
Salary: £90 – £110+ per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time
Do you have a passion for supporting young children with special educational needs in their early years of learning?
GSL Education are looking for a nurturing and dedicated SEND EYFS TA to join a supportive school in Heanor. This role is set to start in September 2025 and is ideal for someone who thrives in a caring environment and is committed to helping every child achieve their potential.
As a SEND EYFS Teaching Assistant, your role will include:
* Providing one-to-one and small group support to children with additional needs in an EYFS setting
* Working closely with class teachers and SENCOs to implement personalised learning plans
* Creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for all children
* Supporting the development of children’s communication, motor, and social skills
* Encouraging independence while nurturing emotional and physical wellbeing
To be a SEND EYFS Teaching Assistant, candidates will be required to:
* Have previous experience supporting young children with SEND, ideally in an EYFS setting.
* Be confident using a range of communication and sensory strategies.
* Demonstrate patience, empathy, and adaptability.
* Have a good understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
* Have an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* A full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any gaps in employment in the last 10 years.
