Learning Support Assistant with a SEN Focus
Location: Portsmouth
Pay: up to £14.30 per hour – Term Time Only
Hours: Full Time
Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work within Primary and Secondary special schools supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs. Pupils are vulnerable and can have a range of needs, to include supporting pupils with emotional regulation, Autism, global delay, sensory and communication needs, and physical needs.
The Role:
* Work on a one-to-one and small group basis with pupils who have SEND needs.
* Support pupils with learning through tailored learning programmes to aid their personal development.
* Assist with adapting learning to meet individual needs, and supporting the implementation of development strategies.
* Collaborate closely with teachers and pastoral staff to provide a safe and supportive environment.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with children or young adults with additional needs.
* Ability to drive is highly desirable.
* Must have a clear Child Workforce DBS certificate or be willing to apply for one.
* Availability between 8:30–15:30.
* Passion, patience, and high resilience when working with young people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
