Contract: Permanent, Full-time (37.5 hours per week) Salary: £36,225 per annum Closing Date: Monday 21st July 2025 Interviews will commence w/c 28th July 2025 Centrepoint is the UK’s leading youth homelessness charity and now the largest provider of Housing First for young people in England, is looking for Deputy Service Manager to join our Havering Team based in Heather Court. We help vulnerable young people by giving them the practical and emotional support they need to find a job and live independently. Together with our partners, we support thousands of homeless young people each year. We are looking for a passionate and experienced Deputy Service Manager to join our excellent Havering Team. In this role, you will support the Service Manager with the day-to-day management of our 15 bed semi-independent services. Your responsibilities will include supervising Support and Progression Workers, Night Workers, and Social Work Assistants. Assisting in enhancing young people's involvement through support work and casework. Focusing on the development of young people’s life skills to prepare them for independent living. As a Deputy Service Manager, you will be responsible for: Supporting and deputising for the Service Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the service. Ensuring contractual and legislative compliance to meet key performance indicators. Exceeding Ofsted’s national minimum standards and adhering to the legislative framework for 16/17-year-old young people. Providing line management through supervision of Support and Progression Workers, Night Workers, and Social Workers. Managing the quality and approval of information-related work. Ensuring compliance and Health & Safety standards are maintained within the service. Completing allocated reports in line with the London Borough of Havering contract. Managing the service rota, booking locums, and approving timesheets. Leading and managing the team in a psychologically informed manner. Performing additional tasks as directed by your line manager. Working on a rota with the 3 Support and Progression Workers, including weekends and bank holidays. Why join Centrepoint?
