Mediplacements are looking to recruit a band 7 Clinical Pharmacist to work with a client of ours based in Norwich.
The pay for this position is £43,000 - £50,000 per annum, and we are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible for an ongoing duration.
Job Purpose:
To provide an exemplary pharmacy service in accordance with current legislation, accepted professional and ethical standards and clinical requirements.
To provide advice and support to consultants, other clinicians and patients ensuring the safe, appropriate and cost effective use of medicines.
To advise the hospital and its departments on the safe management of medicines, ensuring compliance with current legislation and professional standards.
To promote a multidisciplinary, patient focused approach to the delivery of an efficient, high quality healthcare service.
Qualifications and Training
* Master's degree in pharmacy, or equivalent at time of qualification.
Essential
* Experience of applying clinical reasoning skills to a range of complex and varied patient requirements.
* Worked in a pharmacy.
Desirable
* Previous experience as a pharmacist.
* Experience of working in partnership with consultants and across clinical teams.
* Effective stock and budgetary control.
* Experience of working within an independent sector hospital pharmacy department.
Essential
* Current member of the General Pharmaceutical Council.
* Competence across a range of pharmaceutical subjects supported by professional and clinical knowledge.
* Possess the mandatory training requirements for role including infection control and health and safety competencies.
* Possess Equipment and Medical Devices Competences.
* Continuing professional development in pharmaceutical activities.
* Trained on MS Office and other relevant packages.
* Demonstrate principles of accountable practice.
* Stock control.
* Financial skills with continual focus on profit and department costs.
* English language to IELTS 7.0.
Successful candidates must hold an MPharm degree, be GPHC registered and have experience working as a clinical trials pharmacist.
