230378 Specialist Occupational Therapist (Mental Health)

Are you a highly motivated occupational therapist with experience working in mental health, ready for your next challenge and keen to work and live in the beautiful region of Dumfries and Galloway?

This role forms part of a wider Mental Health AHP team that provides specialist Occupational Therapy input to our community and inpatient mental health services across the region. The role, although based with the Annan Community Mental Health Team, is part of the wider Occupational Therapy team that works across the East of the region and occasionally provides region-wide cover when required. Independent travel between sites and within the community is an essential part of this post. Pool cars are available.

We provide a range of evidence-based specialist assessments and interventions to adults as key members of the multi-disciplinary community mental health team in the area. As a small, supportive, innovative Mental Health Allied Health Professions Team, we collaborate to deliver a programme of group work delivered both virtually and in person. Systems and processes are in place to ensure that you will have regular supervision and opportunities for learning and development and involvement in projects to improve services. It is essential that you hold a driving licence, have a degree‑level qualification as an occupational therapist and are registered with the HCPC.

Informal enquiries can be made to Rebecca Glassman (rebecca.glassman@nhs.scot). If you wish to work different hours to those advertised, we are willing to discuss further.
