Your Mission
The EHS Advisor is responsible for supporting, implementing, and monitoring the EHS policies & requirements within the company. The advisor works closely with various departments and ensures that the organisation complies with legal requirements on environment, safety and well-being. The EHS Advisor plays a crucial role in identifying risks, advising management, and fostering an EHS culture.
Your Responsibilities
Risk analysis and prevention policy
* Conducting risk analyses and drafting prevention plans
* Designing and implementing measures to improve safety
* Advise management and employees on welfare, safety and health
* Assist in drafting and implementing safety procedures and guidelines
Environmental focus
* Defining and implementing the waste management
* Following the consumption and actions
* Complying with the regulations
Operational presence
* Ensuring the respect of the EHS rules in the shopfloor
* Being in the shopfloor to prevent risks and detect improvements
* Implementing the EHS tools and action plan
Incident management and prevention
* Investigate and analyse incidents and accidents
* Formulate concrete action plans to prevent recurrence
* Act as point of contact for safety and welfare within the company
Training and awareness
* Organising and providing training on EHS and prevention
* Making employees and managers aware of safe working practices, risks and rules
* Monitoring that the defined commitments are respected
* Managing the EHS onboarding for newcomers
Legal monitoring
* Monitoring compliance with occupational safety legislation and other relevant standards (including ISO 14001, ISO 45001, …).
* Supporting the purchase of prevention and protection equipment
* Staying updated on new legislation
* Following and updating the fire strategy & fire assessment
🔧 What you bring to the table
* You obtained a Bachelor's degree (NEBOSH qualification) or are equivalent through experience.
* A first relevant experience as an EHS advisor in a production environment is a strong advantage, the automotive sector is a plus.
* Passionate about EHS with the Safety priority mindset
* Organize and maintain open communication
* Maintain constructive relationships
* Lead by example & instil trust
* Being bold to take courageous and decisive actions
* Good knowledge of MS-Office
